5 Interesting Restaurants that you should visit in Saigon, Vietnam

5 Interesting Restaurants that you should visit in Saigon, Vietnam

While street food is popular in Saigon, sometimes you need a getaway from the street scene and dine in a fantastic restaurant with good food and great ambience. Saigon is blessed with a variety of restaurants serving French, Chinese and of course, local Vietnamese cuisine. These are the 5 restaurants that we visited in Saigon during our recent trip and we look forward to more to come in our next trip.

Pizza 4P’s

I couldn’t believe I found the best pizza in Vietnam of all places. Unlike the ordinary Italian pizzas with thick mozzarella cheese, I love the simple yet sophisticated, and lightness in this Japanese pizza. The deliciousness was beyond words. You got to try it on your own to know. Make sure you order their signature burrata pizza and my favourite Petit Mozza Sushi 4P’s. Sooooo good!

Currently they have 4 outlets in Saigon, check out their locations and menu here.

My favourite parma ham wrapped mango! I could have 10 of this and still going!

One of a kind sushi with burrata cheese cubes topped with salmon sashimi, OISHI!

Address: 8/15 Le Thanh Ton, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Opening hours: 10AM – 11PM daily (last order at 10:30PM)

Q Vietnamese Restaurant

A relatively new fine dining experience in Saigon with sophisticated style and gorgeous interior. This restaurant is located in a quiet street and opens up to a historic beautiful villa with a tranquil garden.

Music band plays every evening (ends before 9PM) to enhance the ambience of the restaurant. Traditional Vietnamese food was served in fine dining style with warm and personal service. We had a great time there.

*** Disclaimer: This was an invited dining.

Address: 195 Dien Bien Phu Street, District 3, Phuong 6, Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam

Opening hours: 11AM – 2PM ; 6PM – 10:30PM daily

Secret Garden Restaurant

How about dining on a rooftop with a beautiful ambience? It certainly sounds good but nothing comes easy as you will have to work out some muscles to get to the pretty rooftop restaurant. Secret garden serves delicious home-cooked Vietnamese food but make sure you book in advance especially on weekends as it is one of the most sought-after restaurants in Saigon. We had to rush through our meal given a limited dining time as we did not make a reservation earlier and honestly, that kinda ruined the dining experience a little bit. I’d also recommend to come here at night as the weather during day-time may be too hot to dine here.

Address: Top Floor, 158 Pasteur, Ben Nghe, Quan 1, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Opening hours: 11AM – 10PM daily

Garlik Restaurant, Ccentral De Tham Hotel

Rated as #2 restaurant in Saigon on TripAdvisor, we were happy to know that Garlik restaurant is in the hotel we stay in Saigon. We got further discount (only applicable to dinner) as hotel guests too.

The interior was modern and lovely, with a good number of selections on the menu. The food was delicious and creative but to be fair, it was not the best experience for us that evening due to the lack of staff, hence the waiting time for food was long. However, the restaurant manager handled it professionally and apologized, explaining that one of the staff had to take an emergency leave so the system went a bit hay-wired. We believe if this problem did not exist, it could be a good dining experience for us.

Address: 216, De Tham Street, Pham Ngu Lao Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Opening hours: 11:30AM – 10PM daily

Namo Tuscan Grill

If you are starting to get sick of Vietnamese cuisine after days of consistent Vietnamese food (we did, a little, towards the end of our 6 days trip), opt for Namo Tuscan Grill for a piece of good steak is definitely not a bad idea at all! Everything was delightful in Namo but it certainly came with a hefty price for the quality of food you get. If you have the budget, give this a go!

Address: 146-148, Pasteur, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Hours: 11AM – 11PM daily
